CSK vs RCB Predicted Playing 11 for IPL 2024 Match 1: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium (Chepauk) in Chennai on Friday, March 22.

Usually, the defending champions and the runners-up kick off the tournament every year but this time around Bangalore will be facing the five-time champions led by MS Dhoni. Runners-up Gujarat Titans will be in action on Sunday against Mumbai Indians (MI).

RCB have already landed in Chennai. Virat Kohli revealed that the team was to board a charter flight late on Tuesday night after the RCB Unbox event. Both the teams would be aiming for a winning start in the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru don't boast of a very good record at the Chepauk. In fact, CSK have won four of their last five matches. In their last encounter, CSK defeated RCB by eight runs.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been hit by a couple of injuries. Opener Devon Conway and pacer Matheesha Pathirana have been ruled out of the first two matches with their respective injuries. Both were key figures in CSK's title win last year.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) would hope Rajat Patidar to feature in the playing eleven. The right-hand batter injured his left ankle while practicing with the Indian Test team ahead of the fifth and final Test match in Dharamsala.
