CSK vs RCB: MS Dhoni is going strong in the IPL 2025 as Chennai Super Kings are up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and elected to field first. And there has been action early in the innings.

Phil Salt provided a solid start to RCB as the England batter put the CSk bowlers to the sword. He hit two boundaries to Khaleel Ahmed in the first over and then smashed Ravichandran Ashwin across the ground.

But in the very first ball of the 3rd over, Khaleel Ahmed struck Virat Kohli in the pad and appealed for his wicket. Despite the vehement appeal, umpire Saiyed Khalid gave it Not Out. But MS Dhoni was convinced by the bowler and asked captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to take the DRS.

Dhoni is known for his accurate DRS appeals as the India legend has shown his prowess in decision making, overturning many decisions throughout his career for both India and CSK. But in this case, Dhoni's judgement proved futile as the replay showed the ball pitched outside Leg Stump, thus promptly rejecting their DRS appeal.

Fans reacted to MS Dhoni's rare failure when it comes to going for DRS decisions. A few of them blamed the bowler Khaleel for convincing Dhoni.
