Chennai Super Kings will host Rajasthan Royals in match 17 of the IPL 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday (April 12). The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST.
CSK led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni and RR led by Sanju Samson will look to carry on their winning momentum as they head into the match on the back of wins over Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals respectively.

CSK and RR also carry a similar record heading into Wednesday's clash. CSK, who lost their campaign opener to defending champions Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets, bounced back with a 12-run win over Lucknow Super Giants and 7-wicket win over MI.
RR, on the other hand, won their opening match by 72 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad before they suffered a 5-run loss to Punjab Kings. They, however, got back to winning ways with a 57-run victory over DC.
This will be the 27th meeting between the two sides in IPL with CSK holding a clear advantage, having won 15 of their 26 previous encounters against RR, who have won 11 such ties. In IPL 2022, RR won the solitary meeting against CSK.
Now, the two sides will clash for the 8th time in Chennai, where four-time champions CSK has won 6 times so far, while the inaugural champions RR has won just once and that was way back in 2008 when they lifted the title, beating the Chennai-based side.
