Chennai Super Kings scripted a fantastic victory over Rajasthan Royals to bolster their IPL 2024 playoff hopes at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday (May 12).
The Super Kings won the match by 5 wickets in front of their home crowd. Simarjeet Singh and Ruturaj Gaikwad starred for the home team as they bid adieu to their home crowd for the group stages with a blast.

Ahead of the match, CSK announced fans to stay at Cheapuk after RR Match, and it was a spectacle for them. The entire Chepauk stayed put after the appeal and witnessed a joyous ceremony.
The players took a lap of appreciation around the stadium and thanked their faithful supporters. The entire team was present in the post-match ceremony as the vocal crowd got to see their favourite stars from closer proximity. MS Dhoni was the centre of interest and the CSK stalwart was seen hugging CSK legend Suresh Raina.
Dhoni and Raina were also seen giving tennis balls away to the fans after their hurdle at the stadium. The duo also shared a moment and an emotional hug, which is a candy to the eyes for the Yellow Army.
MS Dhoni and the entire CSK team was also felicitated by the Chennai Super Kings owners after the match. Each squad members were given a medal after their victory over the Royals.
The atmosphere was electric as the supporters poured their love for their beloved players. Commentator Harsha Bhogle was in awe of the ambience and expressed his astonishment on social media with a video of the Sea of Yellow in Chennai.
"Yes, there is Mumbai and Kolkata and increasingly, Hyderabad. And, of course, Bengaluru. But this relationship between club and the fans in Chennai is at another level. This is almost 20 mins after the game ended," he wrote on X.
Chennai Super Kings will now travel to Bengaluru to play their final group-stage match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
