CSK vs SRH IPL 2024: Ruturaj Gaikwad's Chennai Super Kings will take on Pat Cummins' Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 46 of the IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, April 28. The match will start from 7:30 PM IST.
Chennai are currently fifth in the IPL 2024 points table after winning and losing four matches each. They have lost their last two games against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Hyderabad, on the other hand, are placed third on the points table with five wins in eight matches. Their four match winning streak was brought to an end by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their last match. They suffered a 35-run defeat at the hands of RCB.
The two teams met for the first time on April 5. SRH won that match by six wickets. Hyderabad had chased down the 166-run target with six wickets and 11 balls in hand.
"This feels like a wicket of two halves. The half where we are standing have some speckling of grass, but the far end has a nice even covering of grass. It is not going to be a 200 sort of wicket, it is going to be a real dogfight. There is going to be some dew today, and it will come early," Ian Bishop and Matthew Hayden said ahead of the CSK vs LSG match - last match in Chennai.
"By 8pm, you can see a considerable amount of moisture on the outfield. But the wicket itself, you got to be in the hunt, you got to be in the fight throughout the game. The KKR game, they got about 137 which was chased down easily. This is going to be a surface like that.
"It is not going to be easy in the middle phase where you will see a lot of spin here, and that’s where you need to be comfortable batting on this surface. The trick for pacers will be to take pace off, bowl a lot of off cutters and big looping slower ones. This is a critical game, can’t wait for it to get started," they added.
In the match, CSK scored 210/4 after being asked to bat first. Pacers picked three wickets, while Shivam Dube got run out. LSG chased down the target with three balls and six wickets to spare. All the four wickets were picked by the pacers.
The average innings total in the last five T20s at the venue is 182. Team winning the toss has opted to bowl first 61 percent of the time.
No chances of rain in Chennai on Sunday, April 28. With a humidity level of 67 percent, the temperature in Chennai will hover around 36 degree celsius. The wind speed at the MA Chidambaram Stadium will be close to 23 km/h.
