CSK vs SRH: MS Dhoni turned back the clock to score 37 unbeaten runs off 16 balls against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam on Sunday (March 31). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost the match but their fans were ecstatic. Four boundaries and three sixes from Dhoni was worth more than a win for them.
However, the visuals of a limping Dhoni during the post-match presentation ceremony raised concerns over the fitness of the former CSK captain. Dhoni was seen with a heavy strapping on the lower part of his left leg.

Notably, MS Dhoni underwent a left knee surgery immediately after winning the fifth IPL trophy by beating Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023 final. He played the entire IPL 2023 season with heavy strapping on his left knee.

After CSK won IPL 2023, MS Dhoni declared that he would be playing one more season as a tribute to the fans. Dhoni walked the talk and put his body on line. He is unlikely to miss the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday, April 5.
Ahead of the CSK vs RCB IPL 2024 opener, former West Indies and RCB legend Chris Gayle had reckoned that Dhoni would not be playing all the matches for CSK and that was the main logic behind handing Ruturaj Gaikwad the CSK captaincy.
"He (MS Dhoni) might not play all games. There may be a little break in between for him. that's why the decision. But MSD will go well, don't worry about that," Gayle said on Jio Cinema.
CSK are currently third on the IPL 2024 points table. They defeated RCB and Gujarat Titans (GT) at home before losing their away match against Delhi.
