Australia on Monday (July 15) announced their ODI and T20I squads for the tour of England and Scotland in September. Young Jake Fraser-McGurk has been named as the replacement for David Warner, who retired from international cricket after the T20 World Cup 2024.
Jake Fraser-McGurk played alongside David Warner at Delhi Capitals (DC) in his debut IPL season earlier this year and was mighty impressive. He also was a travelling reserve for the Australian team at the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the West Indies in June.

Western Australia all-rounder Cooper Connolly has received a shock call-up in the T20I squad. Connolly plays alongside captain Mitchell Marsh for his state team, and has captained Australia in the Under-19 World Cup 2024. He has been picked in the squad on the back of a strong two seasons as a middle-order finisher for the Perth Scorchers.
Marsh will lead the ODI squad as well in the absence of Pat Cummins, who has been rested for workload management. His pace partner Mitchell Starc, senior all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and star batter Steve Smith have been named only in the ODI squad.
Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Matthew Wade and left-arm spinner Ashton Agar have been snubbed as Australia look to build a young team for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
Australia will play three T20I matches against Scotland (September 4, 6 and 70), before locking horns with England in a three-match T20I series starting September 11. The second match will be played on September 13 and the third on September 15. The arch-rivals will then lock horns for an ODI series of five matches from September 19 to September 29.
