Delhi Capitals IPL 2025 Full Squad: Mitchell Starc has become the first signing for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction as they bought the Australian pacer for Rs 11.75 crore. KL Rahul has also moved to the Capitals as they bought the India batter for Rs 14 crore.
The Delhi Capitals are looking to conjure up a strong squad at the IPL 2025 mega auction, which is taking place in Jeddah on Sunday (Nov 24) and Monday (Nov 25) respectively.

Originally established as the Delhi Daredevils in 2008, the franchise rebranded to the Delhi Capitals in 2019. Despite a history of inconsistent performances, the team reached its first IPL final in 2020 but is yet to secure the coveted trophy. With a balanced core of experience and youth retained for 2025, the Capitals aim to build a robust squad and end their title drought. As the auction approaches, fans eagerly anticipate the Capitals' next moves in their quest for glory.
A consistent performer with both bat and ball, Axar has been retained for INR 16.5 crore. He remains a cornerstone of the Capitals' squad, bringing stability and versatility. Kuldeep Yadav, known for his wicket-taking ability in crucial moments, is retained for INR 13.25 crore. The other two retentions were Tristan Stubbs of South Africa and uncapped Indian wicketkeeper Abishek Porel.

With these retentions costing INR 47 crore, Delhi Capitals entered the mega auction with a strong purse of INR 73 crore and two Right to Match (RTM) cards, providing flexibility to re-acquire key players.

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc was the first buy for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction. They also roped in KL Rahul for Rs 14 crore.
Apart from that, the Capitals managed to sign Harry Brook and Jake Fraser-McGurk. They also went in for Sameer Rizvi, and former India batter Karun Nair was also sold to the Capitals on the first day of the auction.
Veteran India pacer Mohit Sharma was also picked by the Capitals for a decent Rs 2.20 crore at the auction.
