In Match 13 of IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals will welcome the defending champion Chennai Super Kings in their new home ground, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday (March 31).
In the past 29 duels between these two franchises, the Chennai side has a lead, winning 19 games while DC has won the remaining 10. In the last IPL, CSK thrashed Delhi on both occasions.

Both sides have star-studded bowling squads that are fairly balanced. The amount of diversity and competence present in these two bowling units certainly makes this duel interesting.
The bowlers in the Delhi Capitals' arsenal include Mitchell Marsh, Axar Patel, Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav, and Khaleel Ahmed. With their extensive IPL experience, all of these DC bowlers can handle any circumstance and steer the trajectory of the match.
While with players like Ravindra Jadeja, Mustafizur Rahman, Deepak Chahar, Tushar Deshpande, and Shardul Thakur, the five-time champion CSK boasts a very strong bowling unit. In the last season of the IPL, Tushar Deshpande was the highest wicket-taker for the Chennai side. The CSK bowlers are performing admirably this year as well.
Kuldeep Yadav: The Indian left-arm wrist-spinner has already proved himself in the IPL. He is the most successful left-arm wrist spinner in IPL history. In the last season, he bagged 10 wickets for DC. Yadav also collected 3 wickets in IPL 2024. The 'Chinaman’ bowler along with Axar Patel will spearhead the DC spin unit in the match against CSK.
Khaleel Ahmed: The 26-year-old left-arm fast-bowler has 60 wickets in his IPL career. Till now he has had limited chances in the IPL. In this season Ahmed's performance is quite promising and he has already bagged 3 wickets in the 2 matches.
Mustafizur Rahman: The Bangladeshi fast bowler joined CSK in the 2024 auction, but he has little experience in the IPL. With an economy rate of 7.92, he claimed 51 wickets in 49 games. In the 2 matches in this IPL, he claimed six wickets and is leading the race for the purple cap. With plenty of international cricket experience, this exceptionally gifted bowler might come in handy in this IPL match as well.
Deepak Chahar: The Agra-born medium pacer has bagged 13 wickets in the last IPL. The Indian pacer can swing the new ball in both ways with control, which makes him more formidable. This season he got 3 wickets in two matches, as well.
After two matches, DC continues to search for its first win in IPL 2024. Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, are leading the points table after victories against RCB and GT. It would be expected of DC to take note of their past mistakes and put up a strong fight against the reigning champions, in their new home ground.
