DC vs GT IPL 2023: Defending champions Gujarat Titans continued their winning march in Indian Premier League 2023 as the Hardik Pandya-led side defeated Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday. This was Gujarat's second win on the trot.

Chasing 162, Gujarat Titans were 54/3 inside the Powerplay but Sai Sudharsan anchored the chase with a fighting 48-ball 62 not out. He shared a match-winning 56-run unbroken stand with David Miller (31 not out; 16b) as they romped home with 11 balls to spare.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans came up with a disciplined bowling effort to restrict Delhi Capitals to 162/8. Wily Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan was the pick of GT bowlers (3/31) while fiery pace duo of Mohammed Shami (3/41) and Alzarri Joseph (2/29) gave a fine start after skipper Hardik Pandya opted to bowl.

Sai Sudharsan | Player of the Match: Thanks for backing me. A little bit nervous as this is my first award. I was thinking about what needs to be done right. I wasn't under pressure. It was a bit low and skidding, my plan was to take the game deep. Weathering the storm (was more satisfying). It was seaming initially, I played late and that was the highlight for me.

Hardik Pandya: It was funny at the start, we didn't what was happening, something was happening. The way the bowlers pulled back was amazing. I go with my instinct, I like to back myself. Most often that not, I punch first rather than taking the punch. We tell the boys to enjoy there. It helps you take the right decisions. Someone's putting their hand up. Taking care of each other is important. He (Sai Sudharsan) is been batting terrifically.

David Miller: Didn't have time to get jetlagged. Nice to get a win tonight. We were within range - was a matter of 3 sixes or 4 fours. Just felt like that over needed to go. We started well last year. Built really good momentum.
We've got mature cricketers in the middle order - Tewatia, Rashid. Chasing a total, you can panic early. But to stay calm - we've done that pretty well. It's a very relaxed environment. There's times through the games when you get heated, but that's part of the game.

David Warner: Don't think I was surprised (early movement for GT seamers). It did swing a lot more than anticipated. And from the other end it kept a little low. They showed how to adapt to situations. Got another 6 games here. Have to be on point and expect that swing in the first few overs.
We were in the game till the back end. Sai batted well. Miller does what he does. With the dew also, it'll be challenging if you don't get 180-190. Was because of the wicket (Axar not bowling) - and the matchups.
