"The idea was presumably to avoid bowling the left-arm spinner to the well-set left-handers, Pant and Patel, who were likely to favour the matchup," Manjrekar explained. Unfortunately for the Gujarat Titans, the pitch conditions did not help, and Kishore was unable to exert the control typically expected of him.
