Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi were both sent back to the pavilion in extremely unfortunate fashions.

Delhi Capitals scored 142 runs after batting first, and KKR have lost a couple of wickets in the first four overs. The chase started brightly with captain Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen at the crease. Rahane was aggressive early, striking a six and a boundary to help KKR race to 29/0 in the first three overs.

DC vs KKR: Rahane, Raghuvanshi's Misfortune

However, misfortune struck in the fourth over when Mitchell Starc bowled a full-length delivery to Allen. Allen drove it straight back to the bowler. Starc instinctively stretched his left hand to grab the ball, but it brushed his fingers and deflected sharply onto the stumps at the striker's end. Rahane, caught outside his crease while attempting a quick single, had no chance. The third umpire confirmed the run-out after a clear deflection. Rahane made a decent start but got dismissed after scoring 19 runs off 13 deliveries.

Ajinkya Rahane Dismissal

The very next over brought further disappointment. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi, in fine form this season, came in at No. 3. Facing Axar Patel, he tried to settle with a defensive push on the fourth ball of the over. The ball spun sharply, beat the outside edge, and rattled the stumps. Raghuvanshi departed for a mere 1 off 3 balls - a soft and unfortunate dismissal that triggered a mini-collapse as KKR slipped to 31/2.

At the time of publishing, the Knight Riders are 60/2 in the 8th over as Finn Allen and Cameron Green have taken over the run chase.
