After beating CSK, Delhi Capitals are ready to welcome Kolkata Knight Riders in their new venue Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. They will face each other on Wednesday (April 3).
Both franchises have faced each other in 32 matches in IPL. Here the Knights get a slight edge over DC as they won 16 times and the Capitals did the same for 15 times. One match ended with no result. In their last three face-offs DC remained victorious.

Both of the teams have star-studded bowling squads but the bowling unit of KKR is quite spinner-heavy compared to that of DC.
Mitchell Marsh, Axar Patel, Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav, and Khaleel Ahmad are among the bowlers on the Delhi Capital's squad to look out for. All of these DC bowlers have a significant amount of IPL experience so they can handle any circumstance and control the dynamics of the game.
KKR historically maintained an excellent bowling unit across the seasons. The Knights' bowling has always been spinner-heavy and with players like Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Suyash Sharma, their spinner brigade is well-equipped in this season also. But the pace-battery of the Knights is not nearly as deep or diverse as their spinners. The team's lone dependable veteran pacer is Mitchell Starc and he is also struggling in this season. After two matches Starc has yet to get any wickets while in these two matches, Harshit Rana fared well next to him.
Khaleel Ahmed: The Indian left-arm fast bowler took 62 wickets in his IPL career. In this season the 26-year-old has so far picked 5 wickets in three matches. Till now his performance is quite consistent as he got wickets in all the matches he played. A similar performance can be expected from him also in the battle against KKR.
Axar Patel: The Gujarat-born all-rounder got 11 wickets in 14 matches in the last IPL. Patel also bagged 114 wickets in his IPL career with an economy rate of 7.21. Patel continued to be a 4-over bowler across the franchises he played for. The economic leg-arm spin-bowling of the Indian all-rounder is going to be vital for DC in their journey to the playoffs.
Harshit Rana: The 23-year-old Indian fast bowler joined KKR camp this season from DC. So far he played only 10 matches in his IPL career and got 11 wickets. In this season Rana is performing very well for KKR, as he bagged 5 wickets in two matches. As there is a scarcity of quality fast bowlers in the KKR camp, the youngster has a chance to step up and showcase his talents in this mega cricket fest.
Andre Russell: The Caribbean big-hitter has remained a pillar for the KKR squad for a few years now. Despite being known for his smashing batting displays, Russell is also a regular bowler for KKR. His right-arm medium-fast bowling helped the Knights in many critical situations on many occasions in the past. In this season also the 36-year-old veteran got 4 wickets against SRH and RCB.
The Knights are yet to lose a match in this IPL while DC registered their first win against CSK in their last match. Both of them are expected to be confident for the duel as they will try to extend their winning streak. Hence, a fierce battle is expected from these two belligerent rivals on Wednesday evening.
