Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL 2023 match 59 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday (May 13). This will be the first and only meeting between the two sides this season.
Delhi Capitals are currently placed last in the ten-team points table. They suffered a defeat to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last match, ruling out their chances of reaching the playoffs.

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, are in the eighth spot now after going down to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last outing and that loss dented their chances of finishing in the top four.
As the two teams clash against each other for the first time in this season, let's have a look at top four batters who can score most runs in the DC vs PBKS match.
Shikhar Dhawan (PBKS): PBKS skipper Dhawan has had a decent outing in IPL 2023 so far, scoring 349 runs, including 3 fifties, at an average of 58.17 and a strike rate of 143.62.
The Indian left-handed opener and former DC player has a great record in New Delhi as well, scoring 719 runs, including 8 fifties, in 21 innings at an average of 39.94 and strike rate of 130.96. So, the in-form opener is expected to add to his tally.
David Warner (DC): DC skipper has once again had a consistent scoring run in IPL, but has been striking at a very slow pace. Warner has so far scored 330 runs, including 4 fifties, in 11 innings of IPL 2023 at an average of 30.00 and a poor strike rate of 119.56.
The Australian opener, however, will be keen to add to his tally in his happy hunting ground in New Delhi, where he has scored 907 runs, including 1 hundred and 7 fifties, in 33 innings at an average of 31.27 and strike rate of 123.40.
Phil Salt (DC): The English wicketkeeper has been the in-form batter for DC in the last few matches, scoring 168 runs, including 2 fifties, in 6 innings so far at an average of 28.00 and a good strike rate of 175.00.
Although he may be down the pecking order in terms of runs scored at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Salt is expected to carry is free-scoring form against PBKS, who may be short of confidence.
Liam Livingstone (PBKS): The English all-rounder has got himself among the runs despite missing the first half of this season and will be keen to add more runs against DC in Delhi. He has so far scored 172 runs, including a fifty, in 6 innings at an average of 34.40 and strike rate of 163.80.
