Samson’s second placed Royals, however, will take confidence from having already beaten Pant’s DC in the reverse fixture in Jaipur, where the hosts rode on Riyan Parag’s unbeaten fifty to set a target of 186 before restricting Pant and the visitors to 173 to seal a 12-run victory.
