Delhi Capitals (DC) will look to get back among the wins and keep their playoff hopes alive when they host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 56 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday (May 7).
DC led by Rishabh Pant will look to bounce back from a 7-wicket loss to Kolkata Knight Riders, while Sanju Samson-led RR are fresh from tasting their second defeat of the season at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad by the narrowest of margins.

DC failed to defend a below par total of 153 against KKR at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, while Royals fell agonising short by 1 run in the run chase of 202 against SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad last week.
Samson’s second placed Royals, however, will take confidence from having already beaten Pant’s DC in the reverse fixture in Jaipur, where the hosts rode on Riyan Parag’s unbeaten fifty to set a target of 186 before restricting Pant and the visitors to 173 to seal a 12-run victory.
Now, the two teams led by the Indian T20 World Cup-bound wicketkeeper-batters will collide for the 29th time in IPL, and for the ninth time at the Delhi stadium. Here is a look at the head to head numbers:
