DC vs RR: Rajasthan Royals' Sandeep Sharma's final over against Delhi Capitals turned chaotic, overshadowing what had been a highly economical and controlled spell at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday, 16th April.
Coming into the 20th over with impressive figures, he was expected to close out strongly. However, things spiraled quickly.

The over began with a wide delivery, followed by two more consecutive wides-three extras in as many balls. He then bowled a fourth wide during the over after a successful review showed the ball sailed over the batter's head. A no-ball followed as well, taking the tally of extras to six in the over.
Adding to the drama, a catch was dropped by Maheesh Theekshana off Tristan Stubbs-a simple opportunity at long-off that went begging. Stubbs made the most of the reprieve, hitting a four and a six in the over, piling on the pressure.
Despite three impressive overs earlier in the match, Sandeep's final over leaked 19 runs, dented his figures (4-0-33-0), and gave DC much-needed momentum going into the break. His over, marred by lapses in line, discipline, and fielding, proved costly at a crucial juncture.
As a result of leaking so many runs, Delhi Capitals finished on 188/5. Abishek Porel was the top scorer, narrowly missing out on a half-century. He played a composed and attacking knock, scoring 49 runs off 37 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. His innings held the middle order together and kept the scoreboard moving at a healthy rate.
Tristan Stubbs provided a much-needed late surge. He remained unbeaten on 34 off just 18 deliveries, striking at nearly 189. His quickfire innings included two boundaries and two sixes, and he was particularly effective in the final over, helping DC finish on a high.
Skipper Axar Patel also made a significant impact in the death overs. He smashed 34 runs from just 14 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of over 240. His cameo gave Delhi valuable momentum in the last few overs.
KL Rahul, coming at No. 2, played a steady hand with 38 runs off 32 balls. He found the boundary four times, including twice over the ropes. His innings provided a stable start, allowing the middle and lower order to play more aggressively.
