DC vs RR: In a heart-stopping finish at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Capitals edged out Rajasthan Royals in a Super Over to register a dramatic victory in Match 32 of the IPL 2025.
Chasing 189, both teams ended with identical totals of 188, sending the contest into a Super Over where Delhi held their nerve thanks to a powerful finishing act by Tristan Stubbs and KL Rahul and a crucial bowling effort earlier from Mitchell Starc that turned the tide in their favour.

The high-scoring thriller saw RR in a commanding position during their chase, with retired-hurt Sanju Samson (31 off 19), Yashasvi Jaiswal (51 off 37), and Nitish Rana (51 off 28) setting the platform. At 161/2 in the 18th over, Rajasthan looked poised for a comfortable finish. However, the introduction of Mitchell Starc in the death overs flipped the script.
Starc, who had gone for runs in his earlier spells, delivered under pressure when it mattered the most. He dismissed the dangerous Nitish Rana in the 18th over and came back to bowl the Super Over with absolute precision.
Bowling to a fired-up Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag in the Super Over, Starc gave away 11 runs, including a no-ball boundary but followed it with two razor-sharp run-outs-first Parag and then Jaiswal-to ensure RR couldn't stretch their total further.
The drama didn't stop there. Delhi, needing 12 runs to win the Super Over, sent out KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs. Sandeep Sharma, entrusted with the crunch over, erred in execution. Despite a potential run-out chance on the first ball and a cheeky four from Rahul off a predictable slower ball, it was Stubbs who finished things in style. With 5 needed off 3, the South African smoked a slower short ball over deep mid-wicket to seal the game with two balls to spare.
Earlier, Delhi had posted a competitive 188/5 after being put into bat. Jake Fraser-McGurk (96 off 64) and Abishek Porel (49 off 37) were the standout performers at the top, while Stubbs (34* off 18) and Axar Patel (34 off 14) provided the finishing kick.
RR's bowling, led by Jofra Archer (2/20), Wasantha Hasaranga, and Theekshana, kept things in check until the late flourish tilted momentum Delhi's way.
Despite a relatively expensive start (4-0-36-1), it was Starc's final over in regulation play and his nerveless execution in the Super Over that stood out. The twin run-outs capped a fantastic comeback from the Aussie speedster, who set the tone for a Super Over triumph.
