DC Vs RR Qualification Scenario: What Both Teams Need to Reach IPL 2026 Playoffs

Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals head into one of the biggest matches of IPL 2026 with their playoff hopes hanging in the balance.

After starting the season with four straight wins, RR have slowed down significantly, managing just two victories in their next seven games.

Still, the equation remains favourable compared to Delhi.

If RR win all three remaining matches, they finish on 18 points, which should almost certainly secure qualification.

Even two wins from their last three games could keep them strongly in contention depending on results elsewhere.

That makes this Delhi clash enormously important.

A victory over DC would:

• almost eliminate one direct rival,
• keep RR firmly in the top-four race,
• and ease pressure heading into matches against already-eliminated LSG and struggling MI.

Riyan Parag's side also possesses one of the most explosive batting lineups in the competition, led by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
