Former India coach John Wright took a vile dig at Royal Challengers Bengaluru after Shahbaz Ahmed's batting brilliance against Delhi Capitals.
Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a mammoth 266 runs with the bat. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma gave them a stormy start as Pakistan scored 125 runs in the powerplay, the most in IPL's history.

Despite losing a few wickets in the middle, Shahbaz Ahmed and Nitish Reddy steered their innings in the right way. The pair added 67 runs for the 5th wicket. Although Nitish departed for 37, Shahbaz went on and got to his maiden IPL fifty.
The Bengal batter showcased his hitting prowess in the last overs and ended up scoring 59 runs off just 29 balls. Shahbaz, in the scintillating inning, hit two fours and 5 sixes and helped SRH reach 266 runs at the end of their full quota of overs.
After his blitzkrieg, former India coach John Wright took a jibe at RCB for letting him go. RCB traded Shabaz Ahmed with Sunrisers Hyderabad for Mayang Dagar. Although Shahbaz performed decently in RCB colours, the decision came as a surprise to many.
"Shahbaz Ahmed not good enough to play for RCB," wrote John Wright on his X profile.
And the Indian all-rounder has proved his worth in the Orange colours this season. He has scored 129 runs so far and has picked up 3 wickets in this tournament. Dagar, on the other hand, has just 1 wicket in his kitty so far this season.
