New Delhi, Apr 20: Travis Head's aggressive fifty, combined with the resolve of Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowlers, propelled them to a commanding 67-run victory over Delhi Capitals in their IPL clash on Saturday.

Rishabh Pant's highly anticipated return to his home ground didn't go as per plans, with Sunrisers Hyderabad sticking to their season's strategy and outclassing Delhi Capitals in a resounding 67-run triumph in the IPL match, solidifying their position in the league standings.

Travis Head's blistering 89 off just 32 balls, along with Abhishek Sharma's quickfire 46 off 12 deliveries, powered Sunrisers Hyderabad to another imposing total of 266 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. During the Powerplay, the duo amassed a record score of 125/0, laying a strong foundation for SRH, and hinting at the possibility of achieving the first-ever 300-plus total in IPL history.

The SRH batsmen showcased their prowess by posting imposing totals in previous matches, including a remarkable 277/3 against MI and a staggering 287/3 at the Chinnaswamy against RCB.

Against Delhi Capitals, they continued their dominance with another massive total of 266/7. Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Shahbaz Ahmed led the onslaught against the Delhi Capitals' bowlers, guiding Sunrisers to their third-highest total of the season.

In response, Delhi Capitals faced early setbacks with the dismissals of Prithvi Shaw and David Warner. However, Jake Fraser McGurk and Abishek Porel provided some resistance with entertaining knocks, keeping the run chase alive.

Once these two young batters were dismissed, the home team - playing its first game at its home ground - struggled to find boundaries, losing momentum in the process in the middle overs. Left-arm pacer T Natarajan capitalized on this, dismantling Delhi Capitals' lower order with his precision, especially with his slower deliveries and yorkers.
