In Match 35 of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad will visit Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday (April 20).

After winning only one match in their first five fixtures, DC made a comeback and won the last two matches back to back, and positioned themselves at the sixth of the table. But managing this winning streak would not be easy for them as the visitors won the last three consecutive matches and emerged as one of the strongest batting lineups this season. They made the record of the highest-ever IPL total against MI, just to break that after a few matches against RCB.

In their head-to-head records, SRH has got the edge by the least margin as they won 12 matches, while Delhi won 11. Though in their last six clashes, DC have won five of them.

DC vs SRH IPL 2024: Bowling Squad Comparison

In the last two matches bowling was the main determinant for DC to win those games. In the last match, DC bowlers managed to end the GT innings within 89 runs. But before that against MI and KKR, Delhi bowling conceded two huge innings totals in back-to-back matches against MI and KKR. Their Indian Seam-trio, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar and Ishant Sharma have delivered decent performances so far. In the spin department, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav are also very reliable.

So far in this season, a very powerful batting line-up remains the x-factor for the Hyderabad side, which redefined the T20 batting. Though SRH needs to tighten up their bowling as, despite posting gigantic totals on the scoreboard they let their opponents come close while chasing. Pat Cummins and T. Natarajan have maintained a decent economy rate but the others have the same on a higher side.

IPL 2024 DC vs SRH: Three Bowlers who may pick Most Wickets

Khaleel Ahmed (DC): The Indian left-arm medium pacer has 67 IPL wickets in 50 matches. The former SRH bowler’s best IPL season was in 2019, with 19 wickets in 9 matches. The 26-year-old has bagged 10 wickets this season and remains consistent so far. Ahmed is expected to continue this bowling display against SRH also.

Pat Cummins (SRH): The SRH skipper is the leading wicket-taker of the squad with 9 wickets this season. With ample international experience, he is spearheading the SRH pace attack. The Aussie right-arm fast bowler currently has 54 wickets in his IPL career. injury remains a concern for him in the past, hence if he can manage to stay fit all the season we can expect some wonders from his fiery spells.

Mukesh Kumar (DC): The Indian right-arm seamer is now the second-highest wicket-taker for Delhi with 8 wickets. In the last match against GT, Kumar bagged three wickets making his IPL wicket-tally 15. A similar performance from him against the SRH batting line-up can be a deciding factor in this match.

Despite the excellent bowling displays by the Capitals in the recent matches, it is pretty unsure how much they can cope with the stormy batting of SRH. KKR and GT were able to check SRH batters from posting a mammoth score this season. Hence a neck-to-neck competition is expected from this tie.
