By MyKhel Staff

DC vs SRH IPL 2025

DC vs SRH - As It Happened

SRH posted a total of 163 runs in 18.4 overs after losing wickets at regular intervals. After top-order collapse, Aniket Verma was the standout performer, playing a superb knock of 74 runs off 41 deliveries, showcasing maturity and attacking intent. Heinrich Klaasen chipped in with 32 off 19, but both fell at crucial junctures, leading to a collapse in the latter stages of the innings. Starc was the pick of the bowlers with a five-wicket haul (5/35), while Kuldeep Yadav supported with 3/22.

In reply, DC openers Faf du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk gave their side a steady start. Du Plessis blazed his way to 50 off 27 balls before falling to Zeeshan Ansari, while Fraser-McGurk contributed a patient 24 off 28. KL Rahul, making his debut for DC, smashed 15 off just 4 balls with a six and two boundaries before being bowled by Ansari, who picked up three wickets in total. Abhishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs took them home as they registered consecutive victories.

DC vs SRH: What was the Turning Point of the Match?

The turning point of the match was early as Sunrisers Hyderabad lost four wickets within the first 25 deliveries. Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy - all departed cheaply and the SRH just couldn't recover from it.

Their innings got off to a rocky start as Abhishek Sharma was run out for just 1, courtesy of a mix-up with Travis Head. Ishan Kishan managed only 2 before falling to Mitchell Starc, who was on fire with the ball. Nitish Kumar Reddy was sent back without troubling the scorers, also falling to Starc. Travis Head, after a promising start, edged one to KL Rahul behind the stumps, giving Starc his third. That was the body blow, although Klaasen and Aniket put on a valiant effort, it was just not enough for them.
