It was a fantastic afternoon for Delhi Capitals as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2025 match by 7 wickets.
After bundling out SRH for 163 runs, the Capitals chased it down with four overs to spare, thus getting consecutive victories at the start of their season.

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc was the MVP of the match for his scintillating bowling performance.
Mitchell Starc produced a sensational bowling display, registering his maiden T20 five-wicket haul with figures of 5 for 35. It was a performance that dismantled SRH's top order and set the tone for DC's eventual seven-wicket win.
Opening the bowling, Starc made an immediate impact by removing Ishan Kishan, who was caught at deep third man. He soon sent Nitish Kumar Reddy. The big moment came when he dismissed Travis Head, who had looked threatening with consecutive boundaries but was caught behind by KL Rahul. This marked the sixth time Starc had dismissed Head in eight top-level matchups, continuing his dominance over the Australian opener.
Starc returned in the death overs to clean up Wiaan Mulder and Harshal Patel, completing a memorable five-wicket haul. His ability to strike both early and late in the innings was crucial in limiting SRH to 163 in 18.4 overs. Starc's five wickets saw him claiming the Purple Cap as well for now.
Mitchell Starc also managed to register two significant milestones of his T20 career on the day-
The Australian speedster was happy to perform for his team and said he was enjoying life at the new franchise.
"It's a new set of players, they have been fantastic. You get to play with new guys, it's a great group of players. It's a pretty young group to be fair, looking forward to playing more with them," Starc said at the post-match presentation.
