Delhi Capitals (DC) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the first match of Sunday's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 double-header at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

DC head into the match on the back of a thrilling 1-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants at the same venue in Vizag, where Ashutosh Sharma played a match-winning knock to help the Delhi-based side open the new season with a victory.

The Delhi Capitals missed the services of star Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul in their campaign opener, but they will be keen to have him back for the upcoming games as he adds more steel to the batting line up.

DC bought the Indian wicketkeeper at the IPL Mega Auction last year for a steal price of Rs 14 crore after a bidding war with the likes of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.

Rahul missed DC's campaign opener in Vizag as he was expecting his first child with actress Athiya Shetty. The couple welcome a baby girl on Monday (March 24), the same day DC faced LSG. So, will he be available for the remainder of DC's matches in IPL 2025?

Rahul is indeed available for selection after the franchise dropped a clip on their social media channel, welcoming the star batter home. So, Rahul is expected to be in the DC team to face SRH today.

Who will Rahul replace in the DC XI vs SRH?

Rahul is expected to bat in the middle order for DC this season, meaning Faf Du Plessis and Jake Fraser-McGurk are likely to retain the opening slot, while Abhishek Porel is also set to bat at number three. So, Rahul is very likely to take the spot of Sameer Rizvi, who batted at number 4 in DC's opening match.

One other change, DC could make for the match is in the pace bowling department, which could see the inclusion of T Natarajan if the Tamil Nadu death bowling specialist is fit. Natarajan could face his former team SRH in place of Mohit Sharma or Mukesh Kumar, depending on the latter's fitness.
