Delhi Capitals will host Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 40 of the IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on double-header Saturday (April 29). The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST.
DC led by David Warner will be keen to continue their winning streak, while SRH led by Aiden Markram will look to snap the losing streak as they head into the match on the back of three successive defeats.
DC, who opened their campaign with five successive defeats, stopped their skid with a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders and followed that with an away win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Earlier DC lost to Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
SRH, who lost their campaign opener to RR, followed that with a defeat to LSG, but bounced back with wins over PBKS and KKR before suffering successive defeats against MI, CSK and DC.
In the reverse fixture last week, SRH restricted DC to 144, but failed to chase down the target, falling short by 7 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Now, the two sides clash once again in the reverse fixture.
