DC vs SRH: Sunrisers Top-Order Crumble like House of Cards - Fans vent anger to Nitish Reddy, laud Mitchell Starc

By MyKhel Staff

The star-studded SRH top order crumbled in front of Mitchell Starc as they lost four wickets in the first 25 balls, prompting a huge crisis.

DC vs SRH, IPL 2025: SRH Top Order Collapse vs DC

Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head came to open the batting for SRH. Sharma was run out after scoring just one run and Ishan Kishan also departed soon after just going 2 runs. India all-rounder Nitish Reddy came in next and didnt trouble the scorers, as Mitchell Starc got his second wicket while the dangerous Travis hit was the next victim of the fellow Australian. Head knicked one back straight to the wicket keeper KL Rahul, who made his debut for the Capitals in the match.

The fans were not happy with SRH batters as they crumbled like house of cards. Many ridiculed their batting lineup while others praised DC for their bowling display.

It was all Mitchell Starc as the Australian damaged the SRH batting early. He took three wickets and the other one was a Run Out.

This fan expressed his frustration at Nitish Kumar Reddy. The India all-rounder hasn't been successful in the first two matches and the fan says Nitish not to get overhyped.

An optimistic SRH fan thinks their team is not out of the game and with Aniket and Klaasen at the crease, they have every right to believe so.

At the moment, Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen are at the crease and the duo are in rebuilding job. Despite losing four early wickets, the Sunrisers are scoring at a decent pace as they are 74 for 4 at the end of seven overs.

It has been a dramatic collapse from the SRH batting, which has been fearsome in the IPL since last year or so. The 2024 finalists won their first match and showcased their prowess against Rajasthan Royals, when they amassed 286 runs.
