DEL-W vs MI-W Dream11 prediction Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians, WPL 2023 Delhi Capitals will be facing off against Delhi Capitals in match 6 of Women's Premier League at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on Thursday.

Both franchises have been unstoppable forces early in the WPL with one-sided wins over in their respective two games and are tied at the top of the table with four points each. Mumbai Indians (+5.185) are leading by the virtue of a superior net run rate.

However, that barely gives Harmanpreet Kaur-led side any advantage in the tie as Delhi Capitals are being led by Meg Lanning from the front.

Delhi Capitals injury update, key players in WPL 2023

Delhi Capitals have no injury concerns reported heading into the game and will be relying on the sheer quality of their top order as far as making the desired impact in the game is concerned.

Skipper Lanning, who bats in the middle-order for Australia, has fit in well in the opening position as she is the WPL's leading run-scorer with 142 runs in two innings (70 and 72).

Her opening partner Shafali Verma could only score 17 in her last innings after scoring 84 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the side's first game.

Hard-hitting South African Marizanne Kapp, who bats at No. 3, also contributed just 16 in her last innings as well but the all-rounder has been in good touch and not too far away from a big knock. She also scored 39 not out in the first game.

Delhi Capitals middle-order in hot form

Jemimah Rodrigues, who bats at No. 3 for India, has been entrusted with the No. 4 slot, and given the current form of the Capitals top-order, it often leads to her playing in the back 10 of the innings.

The right-handed batter did justice to her role by scoring runs at a strike rate of 151 while scoring 34* and 22*.

Pinch-hitters Alice Capsey and Jess Jonassen have enjoyed batting in batting-friendly Indian conditions too with 200-plus strike rate knocks in the last game.

There's concern regarding the rest of the lower order as there isn't enough firepower with wicket-keeper Taniya Bhatia, and Arundhati Reddy don't have the repute of quick run-getters.

Delhi Capitals bowlers find balance with Tara Norris blowing hot and cold

Last-match bowling star Tara Norris, who took five wickets against RCB, was taken to the cleaners in the very next game with 25 runs in two overs.

However, her poor outing didn't affect Delhi much with their spin duo of Jess Jonassen and Alice Capsey blocking runs in the middle overs. They have taken five wickets together in two games.

New-ball bowlers Marizanne and Sikha Pandey contained runs as the South African bowled a 29/1 spell including a maiden. Pandey, on the other hand, just gave away 18 runs after going of runs in the first game (1/35).

Mumbai Indians have no injury concerns reported ahead of the game as well and will be relying on their star-studded top order too to make headway into the game.

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews is the second-highest run-scorer in WPL with knocks of 77 and 47. However, Yashtika Bhatia isn't exactly a Shafali Verma at the other end.

The southpaw, who is a backup opener of the Indian team, showed some form with innings of 23 after a disappointing 1 in the tournament opener.

MI middle-order arguably the best in WPL

The MI batting order only gets stronger from there with Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur coming next. Both of them have already scored a half-century this WPL with the English all-rounder scoring 55* in the last game.

Skipper Kaur shot a 65 against Gujarat Giants while not getting an opportunity to bat in the second game as MI won by nine wickets.

There's further firepower in the lower middle-order in New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr and Pooja Vastrakar. Kerr also scored a 24-ball 45 in an impact knock against Giants. Pacer Issy Wong is also capable of playing the big shots down the order.

MI bowling line-up versatility their key strength

The English express pacer also showed her quality with the new ball as she delivered an outstanding 1/7 (3 overs) spell against Giants but was taken off the new-ball duty in the next game.

The decision only reflected at the bowling depth of MI with spinner Hayley Matthews bowling a 4/28 spell after starting with the new ball.

MI have used as many as seven bowlers in the two games with Sciver, Wong, Vastrakar and Jintimania Kalia as the four seamers in the line-up while Saika Ishaque, Kerr and Matthews are the spin trio.

Ishaque and Kerr form a match-winning spin duo

Spinner Saika, who took the WPL by storm with four wickets on her WPL debut, has been the only bowler in the line-up, who got to bowl the fourth overs in both games. She repaid the faith shown in her by the skipper with a six-wicket tally.

She, along with Kerr, has been important in getting wickets in the middle overs for MI. Kerr has taken four wickets so far.

Pacer Sciver has been among wickets in both matches and has a tally of three dismissals so far while Vastrakar and Kalia are used for the purpose of variations and have bowled three overs each across two games.

Delhi Capitals vs Mumbai Indians pitch report DEL-W vs MI-W

DY Patil Stadium has been a batting-friendly wicket with more bounce and pace on the offer than usual Indian wickets. Scoring anything above 180 on the surface will be a difficult chase given the wicket has been naturally slowing down. The square boundaries are shorter for WPL at the venue with batters expectedly targetting the area.
