Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal has explained why he gave an animated reaction as Sanju Samson argued with the umpire after his dismissal in the Rajasthan Royals run-chase on Tuesday.

However, Jindal showed a great gesture and personally met the Rajasthan Royals captain after his team's 20-run win in Delhi. Samson, who got out after the controversial call by the third umpire, scored 86 runs off 46 balls.

Sharing the video shared by Delhi Capitals' X handle, Parth Jindal has explained the reason behind his animated reaction. He said the sensational innings from Samson had left the DC camp worried.

"Was lovely interacting with Manoj and Sanju - was incredible to witness his power hitting at the Kotla - he got us all extremely worried and hence the animated reaction when he was out! Had the pleasure of congratulating him as well. Great win by our boys!"

Sanju Samson was fined 30 percent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his side’s 20-run loss to Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The controversy had erupted in the 16th over when Shai Hope took Samson's catch near the boundary rope. The question was whether Hope’s feet touched the boundary ropes while taking the catch. The third umpire ruled Samson out but the RR skipper was not happy. He initially started walking towards the pavilion, only to return to the middle and have some words with the on-field umpires.
