In a great gesture showcasing the safety of cricket fans, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Sunday, March 17 announced that metro service from Delhi Gate Station, the metro station closest to the Arun Jaitley Stadium, will be available till 12:15 AM.
Delhi Capitals (DC) are taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The match will end around 11:00 PM IST.

''To facilitate smooth movement of spectators after the conclusion of the Women's Premier League Final tonight at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Metro service from the adjacent Delhi Gate station (on Violet Line) shall be available till 12.15 am,'' the DMRC posted on X.
It said that keeping in mind the safe commute of fans after the WPL final, the Delhi Capitals and the DMRC have come together to ensure that fans going back home after the WPL final can take the metro as late as 12.15 am.
Delhi Capitals Women won the toss and opted to bat first in the mega final. However, a stunning bowling performance from RCB saw them getting reduced to 87/7 in 14.1 overs. Sophie Molineux picked three wickets, while Shreyanka Patil and Asha Sobhana chipped in with two wickets each.
Captain Meg Lanning was dismissed by Shreyanka for 23, while Shafali Verma played a blistering 44-run knock off 27 balls. Jemimah Rodrigues and Alice Capsey were dismissed for ducks.
