New Delhi, December 3: The alarming level of smog in Delhi forced Sri Lankan players to wear mask at the Ferozshah Kotla stadium on the day of the third Test against India on Sunday (December 3).

Nearly 30 minutes into the post-lunch session, play was halted for approximately 15 minutes when Lahiru Gamage began coughing between his overs.

Soon after on-field umpires Nigel Llong and Joel Wilson summoned Sri Lankan manager Asanka Gurusinha and soon Indian coach Ravi Shastri too joined the discussion.

Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal too participated in the discussion.

However, the play resumed. But the break seemed to have broken the rhythm of Indian skipper Virat Kohli who was dismissed leg before.
