Bengaluru, September 2: India's in-form opener Shikhar Dhawan is to leave back to attend to his ailing opner.
Hence the left-hander will not be partof the fifth and final One-Day International and lone T20 international against Sri Lanka.
"Mr Dhawan's mother is stable and is recovering well at the moment," Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhary said in a media
Since regular opner K L Rahul is already in the side and batting at No.4 and Ajinkya Rahane is also part of the squad, the BCCI has decided not to name any replacement for Dhawan.
India, who have taken an unassailable 4-0 lead in the five-match series and is eyeing clean sweep, will take on the homeside in the fifth ODI on tomorrow (September 3) while the lone T20 will be held on September 6. Both the matches will be held at Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium.
