After a victory against Pakistan in the first match of the Hong Kong Sixes 2025, the Indian fans were hoping for a better outcome, but the Indian team has largely disappointed in the 2nd day of the competition.
In the decisive group stage match, India fell to a dismal defeat at the hands of Kuwait and are now relegated to the Bowl division. They have been eliminated from the main competition and has made a dismal start in the Bowl group as well.

In the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 Pool C match, India was convincingly defeated by Kuwait by 27 runs. Kuwait set a target of 107 runs, scoring 106/5 in their six overs, with captain Yasin Patel delivering a stellar all-round performance scoring 58* and taking three wickets. India's chase faltered early as key players including captain Dinesh Karthik, Robin Uthappa, and Stuart Binny fell cheaply. Despite a late attacking burst by Abhimanyu Mithun, hitting three consecutive sixes in the final over, India was bowled out for 79 in 5.4 overs.
In the first Bowl match against UAE, India were in deep trouble as well. They were 12 for 3 at one stage, but Abhimanyu Mithun's half-century and a late Dinesh Karthik surge took them to 107 runs. But in the bowling, the likes of Stuart Binny, Shahbaz Nadeem largely disappointed as UAE chased the target with a ball to spare.
Against Nepal, India have lost the match by 92 runs. Nepal posted a massive 137 runs for no loss, and in reply, India were bowled out for just 45 runs.
