Dinesh Karthik Love Life

Dinesh Karthik and Nikita Vanjara: A Love Story Turned Sour

Dinesh Karthik and Nikita Vanjara were childhood friends whose friendship blossomed into love. Their families, recognizing their bond, approved of their marriage, and in 2007, when Dinesh was just 21, they tied the knot. The early years of their marriage were blissful, but after five years, their relationship began to unravel.

During a crucial Vijay Hazare Trophy match in 2012, Dinesh discovered that Nikita was having an affair with his teammate and best friend, Murali Vijay. The revelation was a devastating blow for Dinesh, leading to their separation. Nikita, pregnant with Murali’s child, later married Murali, and they went on to have three children together.

A New Beginning with Dipika Pallikal

In the wake of his divorce, Dinesh fell into a deep depression, his performance on the cricket field suffered, and he was dropped from the Indian team. His friend and mentor, Abhishek Nayar, played a crucial role in helping him rebuild his life.

It was during this period that Dinesh met Dipika Pallikal, an Indian squash player and the first Indian woman to break into the top 10 of the PSA Women’s rankings.

Dipika, born on September 21, 1991, in Kottayam, comes from a sports-oriented family. Her mother, Susan Pallikal, played international cricket for India. Dipika made headlines for her stand against gender inequality in sports, notably boycotting the National Championship from 2012 to 2015 due to unequal prize money.

Finding Love and Building a Family

Dipika and Dinesh met at a gym where they shared the same fitness coach. Initially, Dipika was cautious about getting involved with Dinesh, wary of media attention. However, their friendship grew, and Dipika’s supportive nature and Dinesh’s humble character brought them closer.

Their love story blossomed further when Dinesh made a significant gesture by traveling to Leeds, England, to be with Dipika during her training. This act of love solidified their bond, leading to their engagement in Chennai in 2013.

The couple married in 2015, celebrating their union with both a Christian ceremony on August 18 and a traditional Hindu ceremony on August 20. Their love story reached a new milestone in 2021 when they welcomed twin boys, Kabir Pallikal Karthik and Zian Pallikal Karthik.

Dinesh Karthik’s Professional Comeback

With Dipika’s support, Dinesh made a remarkable comeback in cricket. He regained his form, scored heavily in domestic matches, and was selected for the Champions Trophy in England. In 2022, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 5.5 crores at the IPL mega auction, making history as the second wicketkeeper in IPL to complete 150 dismissals. Dinesh also ventured into commentary, becoming a beloved voice in cricket broadcasting.

A Story of Love and Resilience

Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal’s journey is a testament to resilience and the power of love. Despite the challenges and heartbreaks, Dinesh found strength in Dipika, and together they built a beautiful family. Their story inspires many, showing that even in the face of adversity, it’s possible to find happiness and success.
