India wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik heaped rich praises on Haris Rauf as the pacer rattled Souther Brave with his raw pace and finished with figures of 3/27 in 20 for Welsh Fire in the men's Hundred 2023 on Friday.
The Pakistan speedster dismissed Finn Allen before getting rid pf George Garton and James Fuller. He emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the match but unfortunately his team lost by narrow 2-run margin.

Dinesh Karthik, who is on commentary duty for Sky Sports in England, showered the 29-year-old with praises. Karthik minced no words in calling Rauf one of the best white-ball bowlers in the world.
"Few years ago he was playing tennis ball cricket. Gets picked up by the Qalandars, becomes a part of their team, and academy and then goes on to play the league and then has obviously gone on to do so well for Pakistan. He is arguably one of the better white ball bowlers going around in world cricket now, especially at the death," Karthik said on Sky Sports on the sidelines of match five in The Hundred 2023.
The comment from Karthik just a month before India takes on Pakistan in their first match of the Asia Cup 2023 on September 2 in Pallekele. Rauf hasn't played an ODI match against India till date. He has featured in four T20I matches against the Men in Blue and picked four wickets at an average of 33.50 and an economy rate of 8.37.
The pacer was hit by Virat Kohli for two sixes in the 19th over as India clinched a thrilling last-ball win against Pakistan at the T20 World Cup 2022. Rauf would take the field against in the Asia Cup with revenge on his mind.
