Don't drink and drive, call for taxi: Virat Kohli

By PTI

New Delhi, Nov 4: India Test captain Virat Kohli has lent his support to an initiative promoting responsible drinking and road safety.

The initiative by USL-Diageo, a leading alcohol company in India, motivates the youth to be socially aware of harmful consumption of alcohol and its effects on society.

Virat Kohli exercises during a practice session ahead of the first Test match against South Africa in Mohali on Wednesday (November 4).

"It's irresponsible to put someone's life in danger when you drink and drive," the star batsman said.

Kohli also spoke about volunteering to drive his friends, sometimes after a fun evening in town. He encourages his friends to call for a taxi to stop them from drinking and driving.

Kohli-led India will face South Africa in the opening Test of the 4-match series from tomorrow (November 5) in Mohali.
