New Delhi, Oct 21: The Supreme Court on Friday (Oct 21) said that the Justice RM Lodha Committee will appoint an independent auditor to scrutinise the BCCI's contracts.

The court also ordered that the BCCI should not release funds until the state associations file an affidavit implementing the Lodha panel recommendations.

The court which had reserved its verdict also ordered BCCI president, Anurag Thakur, to give an undertaking to comply with the recommendations of the Lodha Panel.

Hearing on the matter has been adjourned next to December 5.

The Supreme Court also further directed the Lodha panel to ask the auditors to scrutinise all high value contracts of the BCCI.

The court also imposed a ceiling on the tender and contracts that the BCCI can enter into.

The court observed, “not a single penny will be given to state associations until they comply with the Lodha panel. The court also also ordered the BCCI to file a compliance report in two weeks."

Further, the court also directed Thakur to be present before the Lodha Panel and comply with the recommendations.

The BCCI had contended that it wanted to implement the recommendations, but the state associations were opposed to it.
