DPL 2025 Auction LIVE: The Delhi Premier League, aka DPL 2025 Auction took place on Sunday (July 6) in Delhi.

Joining the fray this season are the Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers, who will compete alongside last season's participants-North Delhi Strikers, Central Delhi Kings, Purani Dilli, West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, and South Delhi Superstarz - as the battle for supremacy intensifies in the capital's premier T20 league.

Player Classification for the Auction

Players have been slotted into four distinct categories based on their stature and cricketing pedigree:

Marquee Set (19 players): Cricketers with international experience or previous IPL appearances.
Category A (35 players): Ex-IPL players and top-tier performers from the DDCA’s first-class circuit.
Category B (105 players): Talents from the DDCA’s age-group levels – U-23, U-19, and U-16.
Category C (361 players): Standouts from Delhi’s local and zonal T20 competitions.

DPL 2025 Retention Cap by Category

Marquee: ₹21 lakh
Category A: ₹10 lakh
Category B: ₹4.5 lakh
Category C: ₹1.5 lakh

DPL 2025 Squad Composition Guidelines

Marquee Players: 1 minimum, 2 maximum
Category A: 2–4 players
Category B: 6–10 players
Category C: 8–9 players

DPL 2025 Auction Regulations

All six existing teams can retain one player from each category, including a marquee cricketer.
Each existing team gets one Right to Match (RTM) card, usable in Categories A, B, or C.
New franchises can select players only after the existing teams do, but cannot use RTMs.
Unsold Marquee players will move to Category A; if still unsold, they exit the auction pool.
Total auction purse per team: ₹1.5 crore (no exceedance allowed).
Injury replacements must be cleared by the League Commission.
