The Season 2 of Delhi Premier League kicks off on August 2, 2025, at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi with an electrifying opening match between South Delhi Superstarz and the reigning champions East Delhi Riders.
The match will showcase notable players like Navdeep Saini, Anuj Rawat, Ayush Badoni, and Digvesh Rathi, setting the stage for a thrilling season.

The men's tournament will feature eight teams divided into two groups: Group A includes Outer Delhi Warriors, Central Delhi Kings, New Delhi Tigers, and North Delhi Strikers; Group B consists of West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, South Delhi Superstarz, and Purani Dilli 6. Each team will play ten league games-home and away fixtures within their group and one match against each team from the other group. The top four teams will move on to the playoffs, with the final scheduled for August 31 and September 1 as a reserve day.
The women's competition runs from August 17 to 24, with four teams competing in a round-robin format. The best two teams at the end of the league stage will face off in the final on August 24.
In total, the men's tournament comprises 44 matches, including league games, playoffs, and the final, while the women's tournament will feature seven matches. This season emphasizes not only high-quality competition but also fan engagement, enhanced digital availability, and the development of emerging cricket talent.
