DPL 2026: Central Delhi Kings & South Delhi Superstarz set for Title Showdown At Arun Jaitley Stadium
New Delhi, August 29: The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 is set for a blockbuster finish as Central Delhi Kings take on South Delhi Superstarz in the final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
The two sides have already crossed paths in Qualifier 1, where South Delhi Superstarz secured a convincing win to book their place in the summit clash. Central Delhi Kings, however, kept their campaign alive with a strong comeback in Qualifier 2, defeating Purani Dilli 6 to earn another shot at the title.

With the championship now within touching distance, both teams will look to put their best foot forward in what promises to be a closely fought final.
South Delhi Superstarz captain Tejasvi Dahiya said his team is excited about the occasion but will avoid putting unnecessary pressure on themselves.
"We are very excited for the finals. The boys have been performing really well throughout the tournament, and everyone has been working hard and preparing well for the big game. A final is always a special occasion, but we don't want to think too much about the pressure or the result. We just want to stick to our basics, follow our plans and play the kind of cricket we have played throughout the tournament."
Dahiya added that execution will be key if his side are to finish the season with the trophy.
"If we can execute our plans well and enjoy the game, hopefully we can finish the season with the trophy."
'Taking It As Another Game'- CDK Skipper Jonty Sidhu Remains Nonchalant
Meanwhile, Central Delhi Kings skipper Jonty Sidhu, who played a pivotal role in his team's Qualifier 2 victory with a match-winning all-round performance, said the Kings will treat the final as another game rather than allow the occasion to weigh on them.
"We are taking it as another game and don't want to give ourselves any added pressure. Of course, playing a final is a big moment and everyone wants to win the trophy, but putting too much pressure on ourselves can take us away from our game plan."
Sidhu said the Kings will rely on the approach that has taken them this far in the competition.
"We have worked hard to reach this stage and have played some good cricket throughout the tournament. We will focus on the basics, back our abilities and try to execute our plans well on the day."
Special Closing Ceremony for DPL 2026 Final
The final will also feature a special closing ceremony for fans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Singers Abeer Arora and Pallavi Seth, along with tabla maestro Mannanjot Singh, are set to perform as part of the celebrations.
With South Delhi Superstarz already having one win over the Kings in the playoffs, Central Delhi will be eager to turn the tables when it matters most. For Superstarz, meanwhile, the challenge will be to maintain their momentum and cap their campaign with the DPL 2026 trophy.
With both sides familiar with each other's strengths and weaknesses, the final promises to be a fitting conclusion to the third edition of the Delhi Premier League.
