DPL 2026 Season 3: Sarthak Ranjan’s 95-Fest Fires North Delhi Strikers to Comfortable Win
New Delhi, August 6: North Delhi Strikers continued their impressive run in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 with a commanding six-wicket victory over East Delhi Riders at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.
After being asked to bat first, East Delhi Riders posted 171/6 in their allotted 20 overs, with Sujal Singh producing a superb unbeaten 82 off 50 balls. The left-hander struck six fours and four sixes to anchor an innings that struggled for consistency as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Sujal held the innings together and accelerated towards the end to ensure the Riders finished with a competitive total. For the Strikers, Vikas Dixit was the pick of the bowlers, returning impressive figures of 1/19 from his four overs.
Chasing 172, North Delhi Strikers were in early trouble at 39/2. However, captain Sarthak Ranjan and Yash Bhatia turned the game around with a magnificent 113-run partnership for the third wicket.
Ranjan was at his destructive best, smashing 95 off just 50 deliveries, including eight sixes and seven fours. The right-hander took the attack apart and effectively sealed the contest in the 14th over when he smashed Simarjeet Singh for 29 runs.
Ranjan fell just five runs short of a deserved century after being caught by Vaibhav Baisla off Ashish Meena, but by then the Strikers were firmly in control.
Bharat Sindhwani departed soon after, but Yash Bhatia ensured there was no late twist. The in-form batter completed a composed unbeaten half-century and guided North Delhi Strikers home with four overs to spare.
The six-wicket triumph further underlined the Strikers' batting strength, with Ranjan's explosive innings and Bhatia's calm finish proving decisive in another convincing DPL victory.
