DPL 2026: South Delhi Superstarz Crowned DPL 2026 Champions After 7-Wicket Win Over Central Delhi Kings
New Delhi, August 31: South Delhi Superstarz were crowned champions of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 after producing a dominant seven-wicket victory over Central Delhi Kings in a thrilling final at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 183, South Delhi Superstarz completed the run chase in style, reaching 186/3 in just 18.2 overs to lift the coveted DPL trophy.

Anmol Sharma set the tone for the chase with a composed 64 off 42 balls, including six fours and three sixes. He received excellent support from Ankit Dabas, who delivered a sensational unbeaten 61 off just 33 balls, smashing five fours and four sixes.
Captain Tejasvi Dahiya then accelerated the chase with a brisk 33 off 18 deliveries, hitting three fours and three sixes. Ekansh Dobal finished the contest in emphatic fashion, remaining unbeaten on seven off three balls and sealing the title with a six.
Earlier, Central Delhi Kings posted 182/8 after being put into bat. Samarth Singh led the scoring with a fluent 51 off 27 balls, while captain Jonty Sidhu added a quick 36 from 19 deliveries, including three sixes.
Yugal Saini contributed 32 off 29 balls, while Money Grewal provided a late boost with an explosive 18 off just seven deliveries to help Central Delhi Kings reach a competitive total.
South Delhi Superstarz's bowling attack played a crucial role in keeping the Kings in check. Divansh Rawat was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets for 17 runs. Vision Panchal picked up two wickets, while Ankit Dabas, Pranshu Vijayran and Anshuman Hooda took one wicket each.
Despite Central Delhi Kings posting a challenging total, South Delhi Superstarz's batters controlled the chase from the outset, maintaining an impressive scoring rate and completing a convincing victory to secure the DPL 2026 title.
