Duleep Trophy 2024: Rinku Singh Returns As BCCI Announces Squad for Round Two in Anantapur; Mayank Agarwal to lead India A
The BCCI on Tuesday (September 10) announced India A, B and C squads for the second round of the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024, starting September 12 in Anantapur.
There are certain changes in the squads announced by the Men's Selection Committee after several India cricketers were picked up for the upcoming first Test against Bangladesh, starting September 19. India C squad remains unchanged for the second round.

India A captain Shubman Gill, along with KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep, who have been selected for the Chennai Test, will not participate in the upcoming round, as announced by the BCCI. Mayank Agarwal has been appointed as the new captain of India A, with Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh brought in as replacements.
The selectors have named Pratham Singh (Railways) to replace Gill, Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha CA) to replace KL Rahul, and SK Rasheed (Andhra CA) to replace Jurel. Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will fill in for Kuldeep, while Aaqib Khan (UPCA) will take Akash Deep's place in the squad.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant from India B have been selected for India's main squad, with Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh brought in as their respective replacements.
Fast bowler Yash Dayal has received his first national call-up, while Sarfaraz Khan, also named in India's squad, will participate in the second-round game. Himanshu Mantri (Madhya Pradesh CA) has also been added to the squad.
As Axar Patel will be moving to Team India from Team D, Nishant Sindhu (Haryana CA) will replace him. Tushar Deshpande is ruled out of the second round due to a niggle and will be replaced by India A's Vidwath Kaverappa.
