The England Cricket Board (ECB) announced a list of players on Tuesday (October 24) who have signed their contracts for the upcoming cricket years.
The central contract from the apex body of English cricket has roped in 26 English players under contract for as many as the next three years. The contract will cover both red-ball and white-ball cricket.

This is the first time the ECB introduced a multi-year central contract, and 18 players have signed a minimum of two-year deal to commit their future to the Three Lions. On the other hand, 8 players have signed a single-year deal. ECB has also provided a development contract to three players.
"We are rewarding those players who we expect to make a significant impact over the coming years playing for England. It is great news and a credit to the players for demonstrating their commitment to English cricket in the ever-changing landscape of the sport," ECB's managing director Rob Key said.
"I would like to congratulate all the players who have been offered contracts. They will play a pivotal role in England's efforts over the next few years," he added.
Harry Brook, Joe Root and Mark Wood are the three players to have signed the three-year deal.
Rehan Ahmed, Gus Atkinson, Harry Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Matthew Potts and Josh Tongue were the players to receive an ECB contract for the first time. Also Dawid Malan was included in the central contract this time after missing out last year.
England's Test team captain Ben Stokes has reportedly rejected a multi-year deal and instead opted for a one-year deal. Veteran pacer James Anderson was also handed a one-year contract.
