Elated Cheteshwar says he will try to remove his batting weaknesse

Rajkot, Jan 12 (UNI) The only batsman from Saurashtra to find a mention among the 30 probables for the World Cup squad, Cheteshwar Pujara, said he would try his best to remove the weaknesses in his batting.

An elated Cheteshwar was over the top when he learnt of his figuring in the World Cup probables.

Cheteshwar, son of former Ranji player Arvind Pujara, finished as the Under-19 World Cup's highest scorer with 349 runs with an average of 116 in 2004-05. As an Under-14 player, he had scored a triple century against Baroda in 2001 and made 211 against the England U-19 team in 2004-05. Cheteshwar had scored 145 for Saurashtra in just his second first class match.

In the Under-19 World Cup, his 97 against West Indies and unbeaten 129 against England took him to the top of charts.

Meanwhile, Robin Uthappa, an opener from Karnatka who has been included in the 15-member team for the first two ODIs against West Indies, said he will perform well for the country. Robin also finds a place in the World Cup probables list.

Robin was the highest run getter this season in the super league Ranji match with 831 runs in his kitty so far.
