Emerging Media launches Cricket Star Twenty20 Season 3

Mumbai, Jun 5 (UNI) Emerging Media, the owners of the Jaipur IPL team, Rajasthan Royals today announced the launch of Cricket Star Twenty20 Season 3.

Emerging Media Chairman Manoj Badale, along with the Rajasthan Royals Captain and Coach Shane Warne unveiled the Cricket Star Twenty20 Season 3 trophy, on the occasion.

The boys chosen through the programme will be a part of the Cricket Star Academy and will also have the chance to interact, train and play with the Rajasthan Royals team. The winner of Cricket Star Twenty20 will be awarded a contract for 2010 with the Rajasthan Royals. Warne will oversee the selection trials and the Cricket Star Academy.

This year Emerging Media will introduce the Rajasthan Royals Development Academy, which will help nurture new talent for long term to act as a feeder into the Rajasthan Royals team.

Warne has seen a huge potential of talent in India during the IPL and he along with Darren Berry (Director of coaching, Rajasthan Royals), Jeremy Snape, (Performance Coach, Rajasthan Royals) and Zubin Bharucha, Managing Director, World Cricket Academy, plan to develop this talent, giving every young aspiring cricketer a chance to be part of the game.

Announcing the launch, Mr Badale said, ''The IPL tournament and our IPL team have done phenomenally well. We believe that Cricket Star Twenty20 Season 3 will continue to discover and nurture a new breed of specialists -- Twenty20 cricketers. We had received applications from over 500 towns and cities across the country last season and we foresee a resounding response yet again.'' Commenting on his association with Cricket Star Twenty20, Warne said ''The youth are the future of any sport and it's the same in cricket. Cricket Star Twenty20 will help tap the immense potential in the country and will train them to become cricketers of tomorrow. I am pleased to be associated with Cricket Star Twenty20 and will do my best to groom each participant to compete at the international level.'' UNI GS RN RKM AS1837
