Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024: In preparation for the upcoming Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, Bangladesh A have named a competitive squad for the tournament starting on Friday, October 18 in Oman.

The team, captained by the promising batter Towhid Hridoy, includes participants from the Bangladesh Premier League and domestic cricket. Bangladesh A's blend of promising talents as well as players with international exposure makes them a strong contender in the upcoming tournament.

3. Parvez Hossain Emon

22-year-old Parvez Hossain Emon is one of the most talented up-and-coming players in Bangladesh cricket. After some headline-grabbing performances, the left-handed wicket-keeper batter has become a known name in Bangladeshi cricket.

Emon reached a milestone in December 2020 when he scored the fastest T20 century by a Bangladeshi, smashing 100 runs off just 42 balls for Fortune Barishal in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup.

Emon has represented Bangladesh in six T20Is since his debut against Zimbabwe in August 2022, and although he has yet to establish himself fully on the international stage, his talent is undeniable. 2. Shamim Hossain

Versatile all-rounder Shamim Hossain is one of the most experienced members of the Bangladesh A squad, despite his 24 years of age. Known for his aggressive batting, Shamim made a significant impact in his debut T20I series against Zimbabwe in 2021, where he played a match-winning knock to help Bangladesh clinch the series.

Despite limited chances, the left-handed batter has been impressive in the shortest format, scoring his first half-century against Ireland in just his third international appearance. With 19 T20I appearances under his belt, Shamim will be crucial in leading the younger members of Bangladesh’s emerging squad in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 tournament.

Towhid Hridoy has rapidly established himself as one of Bangladesh’s most promising cricketers, and he is one of the biggest players to watch out for in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024.

The 23-year-old right-handed middle-order batter made an immediate impact in his ODI debut against Ireland in March 2023, scoring a brilliant 92 – the highest by a Bangladeshi on debut.

Hridoy is already an international veteran with 30 ODI appearances under his belt, during which he has scored seven half-centuries.
