England women injury update, key players vs South Africa women

England have reported no injuries going into the game and are an unstoppable force this World Cup with three matches on the trot. They defeated Ireland, West Indies and India.

Among their openers, Dani Wyatt found form with a half-century against Pakistan in a dead rubber while Sophia Dunkley's form, on the other hand, dipped as she scored 2, 10 and 4, in her last three innings respectively. Skipper Heather Knight's form is a concern as well as she scored just 4 after two good knocks of 28 and 32.

Among bowlers, Sophie Eccleston continues to be the star performer as she picked 11 wickets in her last five games and have particularly enjoyed bowling in Newlands. Leg spinner Sarah Glenn has been equally impressive with 11 wickets in her last six games.

Off-break Charlie Dean two wickets as well as she has now picked three wickets at Newlands in two games.

Pacer Katherine Sciver-Brunt played the last match with a change in bowling partner as Freya Davies replaced Lauren Bell for new-ball duty. Katherine, who went wicketless against India, responded well with two wickets against Pakistan.

No injuries have been reported from South African camp either and the hosts will look to make the most of the winning momentum against Bangladesh, whom they defeated by 10 wickets to reach the semis.

In-form Tasnim Britz scored a half-century after getting herself in the groove with a knock of 45. Her opening partner Laura Wolvaardt was further impressive with a knock of 66, which is more than what she has scored in the last three innings prior to that.

Down the order, skipper Sune Luus has been consistent with knocks of 20, 22, and 28 to give further stability to their batting order. Chloe Tryon scored a 34-ball 40 against New Zealand but failed in the innings after with a knock of just 1.

Marizanne Kapp, who went for big bucks at the WPL auction, scored just 20 runs in her last three innings. Her bowling has been up to the mark with seven wickets in the group stages.

They have further firepower in the lower middle-order too with Nadine de Klerk scoring 28 and 14 in the last two innings.

Among bowlers, new-ball spinner Nonkuleleko Mlaba has hit the purple patch with five wickets in the last three spells. Shabnim Ismail has been effective economically and has taken three wickets in four games.

Medium pacer Ayobonga Khaka was impressive as well with two wickets for just 21 runs.

EN-W vs SA-W pitch report, England vs South Africa women's

The Newland Cricket Ground has more help on offer for spin bowlers than pacers but England batters' strong show has seen them score an unthinkable 213 here in their last encounter. South African openers have got runs here as well but doing the same against a bowling attack of England's calibre, is a much bigger task. Batters will still look to score on the square boundaries as it's almost 60 metres on both sides.
