ENG vs SA: On the eve of the match number 20 of the World Cup 2023 between England and South Africa on Saturday, Temba Bavuma had expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing at the Wankhede Stadium - his 'idol' Sachin Tendulkar's home ground in Mumbai.
But unfortunately, the South Africa captain missed out on the opportunity after reporting not well moments ahead of the match. Aiden Markram walked out at the toss and confirmed Bavuma's illness. Markram named Reeza Hendricks as the replacement for Bavuma.

"Bavuma is ill, so Reeza comes in. Nice opportunity for him. He’s been knocking on the door for a while but the openers have been incredible," Markram said.
England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first. He announced the comeback of Ben Stokes in the playing eleven. He further informed that David Willey and Gus Atkinson would replace Chris Woakes and Sam Curran.
"This wicket favours pace, so we are focussing on that. Everyone is eager to get going. Need to be true to ourselves. We need to play our brand of cricket," Buttler said at toss.
Title favourites England and South Africa suffered shock defeats at the hands of Afghanistan and Netherlands respectively in their last World Cup 2023 match. Both the power-packed teams are eyeing victory at the iconic stadium where India lifted the World Cup trophy in 2011.
