Sam Curran created a major buzz on social media by wearing sunglasses. Fans got nostalgic and recalled the time when Brian Lara, Jack Russell, and Chris Gayle sported sunglasses while batting.

The pictures and videos of Sam Curran donning shades while batting went viral. A few plans made cheeky remarks and said that the 'original' Sam Curran was in Bengaluru watching the India vs Australia fifth T20I in Bengaluru. Here's how they reacted.

Sam Curran was part of the England team which endured a horrendous run in the World Cup 2023. England finished seventh after managing to win only three of their nine matches. Curran featured in three matches and scored 35 runs at an average of 11.66 and a strike rate of 61.40. He picked two wickets with the ball.

The costliest ever buy in the history of IPL, Sam Curran has been retained by Punjab Kings (PBKS) for the IPL 2024. PBKS bought him for Rs 18.50 crore ahead of the IPL 2023. He also led the team in a few matches in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan.
