ENG-W vs IND-W: India Women created history at Old Trafford, Manchester, on Wednesday by defeating England Women by six wickets in the fourth T20I to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.
The win marked India's first-ever bilateral T20I series victory against England, either at home or overseas - a major milestone in the team's white-ball journey.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss for the fourth consecutive time, England struggled to build momentum. Their openers, Sophia Dunkley (22) and Danni Wyatt-Hodge (5), fell early, unable to repeat their previous match's heroics. India's spin attack took full advantage of the conditions, tightening the screws through the middle overs. Alice Capsey (18) and skipper Tammy Beaumont (20) tried to resurrect the innings, but India's bowlers didn't allow them to settle.
Between the 7th and 20th overs, Indian spinners bowled nine overs, conceding just 56 runs and taking five of the six wickets. Radha Yadav delivered a standout performance with 2 for 15 in her four overs, while Deepti Sharma made a crucial breakthrough and also reached a significant personal milestone - she now holds the record for the most wickets (23) in India vs England women's T20Is, tied with Sophie Ecclestone and Katherine Sciver-Brunt.
Chasing a target of 127, India's reply was led by the dynamic opening duo of Smriti Mandhana (32 off 31) and Shafali Verma (31 off 19), who added 56 runs inside seven overs. After a brief stutter with both openers dismissed, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (26) and Jemimah Rodrigues (24 off 22)* steadied the ship, guiding India home with three overs to spare.
In another remarkable achievement, Harmanpreet Kaur equalled Mithali Raj's record of 333 international appearances, the most by any Indian woman cricketer.
The win not only sealed the series for India but also showcased their growing strength in T20 cricket, particularly with the ball. With one game remaining, the visitors have already etched their names in the history books.
